Privacy Policy

In short: Pocket DSP does not collect, store or share any of your personal data. Everything it measures stays on your device.

This policy explains how Dyer Acoustics LLC ("we", "us") handles information in the Pocket DSP app (the "App") and on dyeracoustics.com (the "Website").

Information we collect

None. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash-reporting services. It does not connect to our servers or anyone else's, and we never receive data from it.

Microphone

The App asks for microphone access so it can measure your speakers and room. Audio is analysed on your device, only while a measurement is running. Recordings are not saved as audio files and are never sent off your device.

Data stored on your device

To work, the App keeps some information locally on your device, including:

This stays on your device. Deleting the App deletes it. We cannot see or recover it.

Files you share

When you choose to export or copy data (for example, a measurement for REW or a filter list for an EQ program), the App hands it to the iOS share sheet or clipboard. Where it goes from there is up to you, and is covered by the privacy policy of whatever app or service you send it to.

Purchases

The Pro upgrade is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and your Apple ID. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. See Apple's privacy policy.

The Website

The Website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability. The Website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads; see Google's privacy policy. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the App ever starts collecting data (for example, optional cloud sync or crash reports), we will update this policy before that change ships and change the date at the top.
